Solo Concerts

Gina is an established soloist having studied with some of the worlds leading harpists and musicians in masterclasses, courses and during her time at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where she gained her BMUS(Hons) undergraduate degree in Music Performance. Most notably she has gained valuable insights into her playing from Catrin Finch (former harpist to HRH The Prince of Wales), Deborah Henson-Conant, Anais Gaudemard, Gabriella Dall’Olio, Imogen Barford, Brandee Younger, Monika Stadler, Alexander Boldachev and Anne Denholm (former harpist to HRH The Prince of Wales). Gina has performed as a headline soloist, special guest and for many charity concerts and fundraisers. Her dynamic performing and programming makes her the ideal musician for your concert, destined to capture the hearts of your audience members.

Performing a wide variety of music, Gina loves to showcase the versatility of the harp in every concert she can. Believing that there is more to the harp than the cliche glissandos and arpeggios (though these are of course inevitable in any harp concert) she programmes repertoire that demonstrates the unusual timbres and textures this magical instrument can produce. Taking this a step further, Gina has recently undertaken the challenge of pushing the harp forward with the inclusion of FX pedals to manipulate the harps sound even more. She demonstrates this in her debut album, Rainbow Dreaming and in the example videos below where she plays tracks live from the album, Earth, Water and Fireflies.

Gina is happy to play concerts acoustically including more traditional repertoire with her studies spanning from early music to contemporary classical but she does have a particular affinity for the romantic era and is currently working on a concert programme filled with the delights of romantic harp music. If this is something you are interesting in booking please get in touch here. As well as this she is happy to perform with her electro-acoustic harp and pedal board for concerts looking for a more modern twist to captivate audiences with something they may never have seen before. The unique combination of harp and electronics is sure to create a showstopping event.
